Subject: Song causes suicide? Fri Sep 26, 2008 5:11 am
At first when I heard this story I was skeptical, but after hearing very little of the song i had to turn it off........there is just something very disturbing about this, judge for yourself.
Im also attaching a remake by Sara Mclaughlan, you can clearly hear the lyrics which on their own are creepy but nothing like the original which to me was disturbing.
(the song doesnt start till halfway or so through the vid)
*update*.........since ive questions about this I thought id post a bit more about it.
this is the Source that I got the story from that I posted on WMD, the story is that 17 suicides were directl linked to the song in Hungary 1933 and their gov bann the song in order to stop the suicides (idk if this is factual ,but creepy none the less) the story is that the first "victim" was the girl the composer wrote the song for ,legend goes she killed herself after hearing it and her note simply said "gloomy sunday"
